The Handy Pantry Sprouting Lid fits most wide- mouth mason jars. Its made with mesh holes big enough to drain well but small enough to hold in tiny seeds.
1. Attach the lid to a wide- mouthed mason jar and soak sprouting seeds according to directions (usually overnight or 8- 12 hours). 2. Drain and rinse the jar morning and night for 3- 4 days (depending on room temperature). 3. Keep jar turned upside down at an angle. Most sprouts will turn prematurely green if not kept out of the light until the last few hours of the day. 4. Hulls may be removed by putting the sprouts in a bowl of water and skimming them off the top.
