Amino acids are essential to proper body function. Protein is converted into amino acids with which the body repairs itself. A “complete protein” is one in which all the building blocks are present to make all the amino acids the body needs. If the body doesn’t receive enough protein, “incomplete protein,” or cannot assimilate it properly, an amino acid supplement may be needed.
Hanna said, “amino acids can be remarkable for the heart, especially taurine and arginine. Taurine is needed to maintain proper blood platelet function. Arginine is the only source for nitric oxide, which is vital for healthy blood vessels.”
