Tall, stout shrub; height 4-6 feet; width: 4 feet; Flowers: pale blue, sometimes pink or white. Long, narrow, leathery leaves folded into themselves, deep green on top and white and slightly fuzzy underneath.
Common Uses
Studies show rosemary leaves increase circulation, reduce headaches and fight bacterial and fungal infections. It is considered one of the strongest natural antioxidants. As a warming herb, it stimulates circulation of blood to the head, improving concentration and memory. It also eases headaches and migraine, and encourages hair growth by improving blood flow to the scalp.

Description
Deep blue flowers on dense, bristly flower spikes, this perennial grows 3-5 feet in height. It has opposite leaves with toothed lobes.
Common Uses
Alterative and detoxifying, as well as a natural tranquilizer. Blue vervain is also used restore and increase blood circulation and helps people heal after acute diseases. It can also treat stomach aches and worms.

Description
Rush-like; grows in grassy clumps with a height of 2-6 feet and a width of 1 foot. The flowers are yellow-green, very small, jutting out at a 45-degree angle part way up the stem. Only flowers in water.
Common Uses
Chinese studies show that calamus extracts kill bacteria, lower blood pressure by dilating the blood vessels, stop coughing, and eliminate lung congestion. The American species is especially sedative to the central nervous system and stops muscle spasms.
