Fennel  Foeniculum vulgare

A branching erect stem carries feathery, deep green leaves that branch out alternately. It produces small, yellow flowers that are followed by ovate, ribbed fruits. Height up to 4 feet. Blooms July-October.

Fenugreek  Trigonella foenum-graecum

Annual with tender stem and leaves, it produces white, pea-like, hairy calyxes occurring singly or in pairs. It has compound, oblong leaflets in threes with curved seed pods containing 10-20 smooth brown seeds. Height: 1-2 feet. Blooms midsummer.

Feverfew  Tanacetum parthenium

Small, bushy herb, strongly scented with a height up to 4 feet. The flowers are daisy-like, with white petals and a raised yellow center 1 inch in diameter, clustered together with up to 30 heads.

Flax  Linum usitatissimum

Slender annual with wiry stems to 3 feet. Linear pointed leaves; pale to bright blue flowers or white in summer, followed by pods of flat oval brown seeds, rich in oil. Grows wild in dry grasslands, usually as an escape from cultivation.
