Amino Acids

Amino acids are the building blocks of your physical body. Protein has to be converted into amino acids with which the body repairs daily wear and tear and the breakdown of hormones and enzymes. Sometimes we do not receive enough protein or we cannot assimilate it. Aminos Plus is the answer to this problem.

Why do I mix it with basil? Because basil is the carrier or delivery wagon for ALL the amino acids. Basil is also the best immune system supporter we know. In addition, amino acids should never be isolated – like B-vitamins – they should be taken together. When you are in special need of one or the other of the amino acids, add it to the Aminos Plus to complete the formula.

Alanine - is needed for proper nerve function. When nerves are convulsive as in twitches, tics, spastic movements, restlessness or in muscular contraction, alanine may be helpful.

Arginine - is a wonderful detoxifier of intestinal poisons and waste. Arginine is known to be a wound healer as well as a healer of inflammation and cellulite. Many use it for weight control.

Cystine and Cysteine - are a wonderful pair of amino acids. These two amino acids make systemic poisons flow (so the body can eliminate them). They are very helpful for graceful aging as well as overcoming cigarette and alcohol habits. Cystine and cysteine have been found to be helpful in some eye disorders such as:

                                    astigmatism

                                    blurred vision

                                    myopic eyes

                                    migraine headaches

Glutamic Acid - is a brain food and a neurotransmitter for brain activity. Your body could need glutamic acid if you feel these symptoms, check with your physician:

                                    mood swings

                                    lack of energy

                                    brain fog or slow thinking

Glysine - is also a neurotransmitter, particularly in blood serum, heart disturbance and in breathing difficulties.

Lysine - is an essential amino acid. It is necessary to combat tiredness, depression and despair. It is also necessary for antibody formation and is recommended for herpes infections. Lack of lysine may cause:

                                    chronic tiredness

                                    dizziness

                                    homesickness

                                    helplessness

                                    mental disorders

Leucine - A lack of leucine may express itself in digestive problems, colon spasms or liver and gallbladder congestion.

Methionine - helps the adrenal gland to be healthy. It is an antioxidant and is therefore good for the heart and vascular systems. It helps eliminate heavy metals.

Phenylalanine - has a unique role in helping depression and moodiness. It is an appetite suppressant and gives mental balance. It is known to lengthen the attention span, balance thyroid trouble and aid proper metabolism.

Valine - is an essential amino acid needed when cell deterioration takes place. It is required to help mental and/or emotional upsets and nervousness resulting in insomnia and hydrophobia.

Tryptophan -is good for the skin, hair and nerves. It makes proper brain metabolism, therefore it is known to:

                                    induce sleep and relaxation

                                    help schizophrenia

                                    relieve migraine headaches

                                    relieve joint pains

Threonine - is an essential amino acid. If threonine is missing we get indigestion and other intestinal malfunctions. It is particularly needed in the female reproductive organs, hence a lack of threonine can cause:

                                    menstrual pain

                                    dysmenorrhea

                                    spotting between periods

                                    p.m.s.
